About the Department
The Department of Chemistry is one of the main departments in the College of Science. It aims to prepare qualified scientific cadres who possess comprehensive knowledge in the various branches of chemistry, such as organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry. The department seeks to integrate the theoretical and practical aspects through hands-on laboratory education and to develop students’ abilities in scientific thinking and systematic analysis, thereby qualifying them to contribute to the fields of research, education, industry, and the environment.

Possesses comprehensive knowledge of both theoretical and practical concepts in chemistry. Capable of performing precise chemical analyses using modern instruments. Skilled in designing and conducting chemical experiments and analyzing their results. Has critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a scientific manner. Adheres to safety standards and professional ethics in laboratory and work settings. Qualified to work in education, industrial and medical laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, environmental sectors, and research.
