Alnoor University, through the Department of Computer Science at the College of Education and under the supervision of the Continuing Education Department, organized an online workshop via the Google Meet platform titled **"Introduction to the R Programming Language"**. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Wael Abdul Latif at 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, and was attended by several faculty members of the university. During the session, the speaker provided a brief introduction to the R programming language, including definitions of vectors, matrices, and graphics in R. He also introduced circuits and how to write simple functions in R. Additionally, he demonstrated a simple linear regression model along with several examples. R is a programming language specialized in statistical analysis and graphical representation. It is widely used in fields such as statistics, data science, and machine learning. R offers a vast array of packages and libraries that facilitate advanced statistical analysis, the creation of graphics, and data manipulation.
