About the Department
The Department of Life Sciences is one of the core departments in the College of Science, focusing on the study of living organisms at various organizational levels, from the cell to ecosystems. The department aims to provide students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the fields of microbiology, botany, zoology, genetics, biotechnology, and environmental science. It also contributes to preparing qualified scientific personnel capable of participating in scientific research and serving the community in educational, medical, environmental, agricultural, and industrial fields.

Preparing graduates with a solid scientific foundation in various fields of life sciences. Developing students’ skills in scientific research and experimental analysis. Graduate Description
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of fundamental concepts and practical applications in life sciences. Capable of using modern techniques in biological analysis and laboratory experiments. Proficient in critical thinking and solving problems in a scientific and systematic manner. Adheres to professional ethics in research and scientific practices. Able to work within a multidisciplinary team and engage in effective scientific communication. Qualified to work in education, scientific research, medical, environmental, agricultural, and industrial laboratories. Possesses the skills necessary to pursue graduate studies and contribute to scientific and technological development.
