Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Alnoor University launched on the morning of Thursday, September 18, 2025, the proceedings of its Second Critical Conference, organized by the College of Education on the university campus.
The agenda of the first day of the conference included an opening session in which the President of the University delivered a speech by Professor Dr. Yassen Taha Mohammed Ali The speech of Alnoor University was followed by the speech of the Preparatory Committee for the conference, delivered by its chairman. Prof. Dr. Khzaal Fahti Zaidan The Dean of the College of Education at the university then spoke, after which an introductory video about the university was presented. This was followed by the delivery of the opening research paper titled “New Historicism in the Poetry of Johann Goethe” by Dr. Tarek Ziad Mohammed.
The conference is attended by Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, along with a number of deans from colleges at universities in Nineveh Governorate, several heads of Arabic language departments, and the Scientific Advisor of Alnoor University, in addition to the participation of distinguished critics and researchers. This step reflects Alnoor University’s commitment to supporting academic and critical activity and to fostering cultural and intellectual dialogue.
