The Department of English Language at Alnoor University organizes a workshop on the translation of redundant repetition

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, President of Alnoor University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Khzaal Fahti Zaidan Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Education, the Department of English Language in the college organized a scientific workshop on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026, entitled (Problems of Translating Redundant Repetition in English into Arabic among Students) The workshop was conducted by Assistant teacher Aya Ali Hassan ,and it included presentations by both Dr. Asmaa Yahya Qasim and,Assistant lecturer Enas Ismail Fathiwhere the workshop addressed the main difficulties students face when translating the phenomenon of redundant repetition from English into Arabic, and highlighted the stylistic differences between the two languages, as well as how to deal with repetition in a way that ensures accuracy and clarity of meaning. The university’s scientific advisor and a number of department heads attended the workshop. The workshop also covered a set of applied examples and translated texts, with clarification of the correct methods for handling this type of repetition, contributing to the development of students’ translation skills and improving their ability to convey meaning accurately. This workshop emphasizes the importance of such academic activities in developing students’ skills and enhancing their linguistic and translation expertise.
