In its continuous effort to enhance sports infrastructure and provide a comprehensive learning environment, Alnoor University inaugurated its first modern sports hall, an indoor gymnasium dedicated to practical lessons for students of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science.
The hall is considered a spacious, multi-purpose facility, utilized for hosting seven-a-side football, handball, volleyball, and basketball matches. It also includes stands that can accommodate approximately 500 spectators, allowing them to follow the sports events freely and in an organized manner.
The opening ceremony began with the entrance of the participants’ processions, followed by speeches from both the President of Alnoor University, Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Alhajjar, and the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, in which they emphasized the importance of this sports facility in supporting the educational process and honing students’ athletic skills.
The event included honoring the participants in the taekwondo competition and other sports activities, in addition to recognizing the engineering team that supervised the completion of the hall. The opening ceremony concluded with the cutting of the inauguration cake and special taekwondo performances, followed by a friendly match between the teams of Alhamdaniya University and Alnoor University amid a highly spirited sporting atmosphere.
