As part of the Iraqi Week for Drug Abuse Prevention, Alnoor University dedicated a seminar on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, to the topic "The Psychological, Health, and Social Effects of Drug Use and Psychoactive Substances."
This seminar was organized by the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the university, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Saeed Rashid, the head of the department. Dr. Maarib Hamid Ahmed participated in delivering lectures on various topics, including the psychological disorders that contribute to addiction, the health effects of drug use, methods of treating drug users, and the social consequences of drug abuse.
