In observance of the Iraqi Week for Drug Abuse Prevention, Alnoor University organized a workshop on protecting university students from drug abuse.

As part of the Iraqi Week for Drug Abuse Prevention, the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at Alnoor University organized a workshop on drugs, their negative effects on university students, and methods of treatment. The workshop was supervised by Dr. Ahmed Saeed Rashid, Head of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance.
On the first day, Sunday, December 1, 2024, three lectures were delivered: "The Concept of Drugs" by Dr. Ahmed Saeed Rashid. "The Negative Effects of Drug Use" by Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Khalil. "Methods of Treatment" by Assistant Lecturer Roaa Fares.
On the second day, Monday, December 2, 2024, two additional lectures were presented: "Psychoactive Substances and Their Negative Impact on the Individual and Society" by Dr. Ahmed Saeed Rashid. "Drug Crimes and Psychoactive Substances" by Associate Professor Dr. Fares Ahmed Al-Dulaimi, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Hakim Dhinoon, and Assistant Lecturer Raed Khalaf.
