Professor Dr. Mohamed Basel Qasim Al-Azzawi, a faculty member at the College of Education, Alnoor University, participated as a member of the PhD defense committee for a student supervised by Nayrouz Mohammed Suleiman. The thesis, titled
"Investigating Kurdish EFL Learners’ Silence in Classrooms at University Level,"

was presented in the field of Applied Linguistics and Translation at the University of Duhok.
The defense took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, and included faculty members from Alnoor University, Raperin University, Duhok University, Zakho University, and Salahaddin University.
